Seminar focused on the analysis of CS and ONH in inorganic sample matrices.

The ELEMENTAR instruments are based on a high temperature combustion process for the analysis of carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, oxygen, sulphur and/or chlorine. The applications are diverse. Besides CS/ONH analysis in inorganic sample matrices, the applications range from measurements of nitrogen in food and feed for protein content determination to the precise and reliable measurements of the CHNOS and Cl elements in for example the chemical, petrochemical or pharmaceutical industry. The Elementar products are also widely used in the environmental field for control of TOC and TN in water and solids.

Physical Pharmacy symposium

Join us at the 30th Physical Pharmacy symposium in Finland.

The 30th anniversary Symposium of the Finnish Society of Physical Pharmacy will be organized at Orion Corporation in Espoo on Febuary 7-8 2019. The theme of the symposium is "Pharmaceutical Material Sciences – Innovative Formulations and Analytical Methods".

Particle seminar at Technological Institute

Danish Technological Institute and RAMCON invite you to a 2 day seminar on particle characterization.

Technological Institute and RAMCON invite you to an in-depth theoretical seminar on particle characterization, focusing on both practical and theoretical issues. 


Prerequisites
There is no specific prerequisites for participating in this seminar, other than a deep interest in the therories behind different particle characterization methods and practical handling.
 

Target audience
The seminar is aimed towards the theoretically committed laboratory technicians, looking to gain additional knowledge, engineers/academics or Ph.D's with responsibilities within particle characterization and/or product quality control.

Content

  • How to work with difficult samples when characterizing it? 
  • What is the theoretical background for this?
  • What techniques are usables and what results are to be expected from these?
  • Hands-on: Laser diffraction, Dynamic Light Scattering, Coulter Counter, Microscopy and SEM.

There will be lectures throughout the day working in depth on the theories behind a lot of different methods within particle characterization, and in addition to this, specific examples of solutions within particle characterization will be given.

  • Reviews of different techniques, both theoratical and practical
  • Hands-on instrument work
  • A tour of the Particle lab
  • Get tips and hints during the day

We encourage participants to bring along samples of their own and receive sparring on working with the characterization of these.

Ramcon is hosting a seminar aimed at users of the Biomek 4000, Biomek NXp og Biomek FXp automated workstations, who has not previously attented this seminar. Take your biomek methods to the next level. We will provide you with tips & tricks, advice and sparring. During the seminar we will be going through: 

  • Varying numbers of sampels for each run
  • Creating a dynamicInstrument Setup
  • Usage of loops and variable within Biomek methods

Welcome to Multisizer Workshop!
In collaboration with beckman Coulter, Ramcon invites you to participate in a one day work shop around particle analysis with the Multisizer 4e.

 

 

 

During the day you will get theoretic background on the technique, overview of new analysis opportunities with the updated software and extensive hands on activities where you get the chance to test the instrument. We will arrange application specific discussions and seminars depending on the interest from attendees.
The workshop is free and will include lunch as well as morning and afternoon coffee/cake.

First workshop is 13/6 in Mölndal (just outside of Gothenburg)
Second workshop will be 19/9 either in Stockholm or Lund depending on attendees requests.

Along with Rigaku, Ramcon is doing a user seminar at the "Biofilms – Research Center for Biointerfaces" at Malmö University.

The upcoming event at "Biofilms – Research Center for Biointerfaces" at Malmö University, Sweden is intended to provide an opportunity for you to meet fellow users and discuss recent research with experts, as well as to learn about novel developments and applications in a pleasant, informal environment. SMLMS 2016

The 6th annual Single Molecule Localization Microscopy Symposium (SMLMS) will take place at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne 28th-30th August 2016 in Rolex Learning Center.

This edition continues the successful SMLMS series Zurich 2011, Lausanne 2012, Frankfurt 2013, London 2014, and Bordeaux 2015. The scope of the meeting is to bring together scientists from Europe and abroad working in the field of single-molecule super-resolution imaging. 

We anticipate an exciting program built around the following topics:

  • Development of new optical methods
  • Development of new probes and labeling strategies
  • Applications to biological questions
  • New algorithms for data analysis
